FAQ

Has this race been cancelled due to COVID-19?

At this time, we plan to celebrate victory over this pandemic with a great time on August 29th?

What safeguards will be in place to ensure the safety of all runners?

Our race committee is in discussions about that issue.  Much will depend upon what governmental guidelines are in place on Race Day as those seem to change almost daily.  Rest assured that the safety of our runners in all respects will be Priority #1!

What time do the races start?

The 5K starts promptly at 7:00AM.  The 10-miler starts at 7:10AM.

May I walk the course or are these races only for runners?

Runners and walkers are welcome to participate in both races!  We have a generous cut-off time (see details below) for both races, which should allow for runners/walkers of all abilities to participate.

Is there a bag check?

Unfortunately, due to safety and liability reasons, we cannot be responsible for checking bags at the event.  We recommend that you leave all bags and gear in your vehicle.

Is there ample parking available?

We have large parking lots available to accomodate hundreds of vehicles directly across the road from the Start/Finish line.

Can a friend pick-up my race packet?

Absolutely!  Just make sure that you know their last name!

Will there be vehicle traffic on the race course?

Yes.  With the courses running alongside a popular golf course, there will be traffic during the race events.  There is ample shoulder to run on for nearly the entire route and we will have uniformed police and volunteers to direct traffic to keep our runners as safe as possible.

Can I run/walk with a stroller or pet?

We have a few stretches on the race course with narrow road shoulders so, unfortunately, strollers and pets are NOT allowed due to safety reasons.

Due to injury, etc., can my entry fee be refunded or transferred to another runner?

All entry fees are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferrable

What about bad weather on race day?

Runners are tough!  We will run the races rain or shine.

What is your timing system?

We will be using chip-timing for our races this year.  Official race results will be posted on our RunSignup page as quickly as possible after all race results are tabulated.

Will your races start on time?

You better believe it!  The 5K race will start at EXACTLY 7:20AM and the 10-miler race will start at EXACTLY 7:30AM.  Medals and trophies will be awarded as quickly as possible post-race.

Are there race cut-off times?

We are required to be off the roadways no later than 10:30AM, which means that 10-mile runners will have a 3-hour time limit.
